Healthy relationships don't just benefit families, they benefit workplaces.
One in three FIFO workers experience high psychological distress compared with 17% of non-FIFO workers, highlighting the unique challenges
of remote work arrangements.
Research has found that FIFO work can significantly increase stress for partners and families, reinforcing that the impact of FIFO extends
well beyond the worksite.
In response, Western Australia introduced Australia's first Code of Practice for Mentally Healthy FIFO Workplaces, recognising psychosocial health and family wellbeing as critical components of a safe and sustainable workforce.
Supporting relationships at home helps create healthier people, safer workplaces and stronger teams.

The focus is on prevention, building resilience and strengthening healthy relationships before challenges become crises. If someone requires individual therapeutic support, we always encourage them to access their EAP or an appropriate mental health professional.
